Claudia Carvalho Borgess Curriculum
She was born in Porto Alegre, Brazil. She studied Architecture until the 8th semester in Brazil from 1983 to 1987. Afterwards she moved to Venezuela and settled in Puerto Ordaz, Bolivar. There she did drawing and painting studies at the UNEXPO (Universidad Experimental Politécnica Antonio José de Sucre), with Prof. Edixo Primera as her teacher in 1996. A year later she entered a Sculpture and Ceramics school called Armando Reverón, and studied there until 1999. Later in 2000, she joined a Sculpture School at the Casa de la Cultura Ateneo de Ciudad Guayana and studied with Prof. Salas Brant as her teacher. In 2001 she took a Bronze Forging class with Prof. Henry Rivas at the UNEXPO University. Afterwards she took many different independent art classes: Resin Sculpture classes with Nurys Morillo in 2002, Stained Glass classes with Marisa de Fariñes in 2002, Human shape drawing classes with Antonio Gelhder in 2002 and Rakú classes with Fernier Ló

ez. She was a founder member of AVAP or Asociación Venezolana de Artistas Plasticos Capítulo Ciudad Guayana. Since 1999 her works are aimed to the creations of ceramic wall artworks and sculptures inspired by the surrounding nature.
